Chess is a two player sport played on a chess board with 32 Chess pieces equally divided between the two opponents. The board has 64 squares alternately in white and black in a 8×8 grid.
Chess is internationally governed by Fédération Internationale des Échecs or FIDE.
The sport is believed to have its origin in India as Chaturanga before the 7th century.
