Judo is a modern martial art, which later developed into a combat and Olympic sport. The sport is played between two individuals on a Judo Mat. The players are called Judokas and the attire they wear while playing is called Judogi.
The Sport is globally governed by the International Judo Federation (IJF). Judo was included in Olympic Charter in the Tokyo Summer Olympic Games in 1964. Since then it has been a part of Olympics movement.
The sport is played in 195 countries through their national federations and 5 continental unions.
