Cricket Came in India at the late 1700s. Calcutta Cricket Club was the first club. Following the growth, Board of Control for Cricket in India was formed in 1928 to administer all cricket activities in India and Test debut followed in 1932 & Ranji Trophy competition started in 1934.
One major milestone was reached in 1983, when a Kapil Dev led Indian Team defeated double reigning World Champions West Indies to record their first World Cup win in ODI Cricket followed by World Championship win in 1985.
Further, they won ICC Champions Trophy in 2002 and the inaugural edition of World T20 Cup in 2007 under MS Dhoni as Captain who also happen to lead India to 2009 ICC Champions Trophy win & eventually, the 2011 Cricket World Cup win.
