The Spanish Footballer Germán Dévora Ceballos would go on to score 15 goals for 1949 founded Unión Deportiva Las Palmas during the LaLiga Santander 1971-72 tournament. His team would win 15, lose 11 & draw 8 from the competition to finish 5th in the tournament edition and qualify for the UEFA Cup first round. The Nuevo Los Cármenes Stadium based team would finish sixth in the team table winning 14, losing 12 and drawing 8 matches in the Campeonato Nacional de Liga de Primera División season. Granada CF would score 40 goals, while they would concede 34 goals in the tournament edition.
