Dhananjaya de Silva is a Sri Lankan International cricketer, who plays from the national side of Sri Lanka since 2015. He plays for all formats of the game and represents Tamil Unicorn team at domestic level. Dhananjaya de Silva is a batting all-rounder, who bats right-handedly and bowls off-break. He started cricket career in his early age and played several school level tournaments in the initial stage of his career.
He made his international debut through a T20I match in 2015 against Pakistan, after living a glorious career in domestic circuit. Dhananjaya de Silva then made his debut in rest two formats of the game consecutively in the next year 2016. He gradually made his place permanent in the national squad in all formats with his impressive playing skills.
At the beginning he was a skilled batsman but steadily, de Silva became an all-rounder by improving his wily off-spin bowling progressively with matches. He was named in the Sri Lankan squad for 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
