Mohammad Amir is Pakistani International cricketer, who plays for the national cricket team of Pakistan since 2009. He appears in all formats of the game and represents Federal Areas in domestic cricket. Mohammad Amir is a left-armed fast-medium pacer, who occasionally bats as a left-handed lower-order batsman. He got his initial professional training of cricket at the age of 11 from Rawalpindi Sports Academy. After getting proper training of cricket, he joined the domestic cricket team of Pakistan in age groups. Before getting selected for the national team, Mohammad Amir used to play for Pakistan Under-19 team and has appeared in the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2007.
He has played for National Bank of Pakistan in first-class cricket and then appears in the Twenty20 World Cup Tournament in 2009. He played some unforgettable innings in that tournament and came into the limelight as an emerging new bowler of Pakistan. His success rate in that Twenty20 World Cup gave him the golden opportunity of entering the national team of Pakistan instantly in the same following year.
He made his debut in all three formats of the game in one single year and became a permanent member of the team progressively. In 2010, this talented pacer from Pakistan got involved in the scam of a spot-fixing allegation during the England tour. This controversy ruined his career at a high rate with the verdict of a five-year ban from the international field. In 2015, he came back with full power and started playing cricket successfully in both international and domestic fields. Currently, his bowling skills reward him with the selection in the final squad of Pakistan for 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
