Profile | Samiullah Shenwari is an Afghan cricketer, who plays for the Afghanistan cricket team internationally since 2009. He is a professional cricket and appears in the shorter format of the game for limited-over matches. Samiullah is a batting all-rounder; he bats right-handed and bowls in right-arm leg-break style. He represents Boost Region in first-class cricket and Afghan Cheetahs in Twenty20 franchise. He began his domestic cricket career professional with age-group cricket and made his domestic debut through a first-class match against Zimbabwe XI. His success rate in domestic field soon led him to the national team and pushed him to aid his squad in World Cup Qualifier match in 2009. He made his international debut through that qualifier match in 2009 against Scotland in the ODI format and T20I debut in the very next year against Ireland. His bouncing charisma and batting variation in the crease soon made him an asset for Afghanistan team in the international field. Samiullah hasn’t made his international test debut yet, but appears in several super league tournaments for different countries; such as DPL, BPL, etc. apart from APL.
