David Warner, the Australian southpaw, turned 30 on Thursday and who else but Virender Sehwag – India’s most hard-hitting personality on and off the field wished him on twitter in his own flair.
The recently turned 38 year old Sehwag considered Warner amongst the elite category of Australian players, saying that after legendary spinner Shane Warne, Australia now have Warner. As always, the undisputed king of witty tweets with his quirky punches asked Warner when is the “warnest” coming.
“Happy Bday @davidwarner31. After having the legend Warne, now Aus have Warner. When is Warnest coming? Also, no warning given by both greats.” Tweeted Sehwag.
David Warner replying retweeted in Sehwag’s comments saying, “Thanks Mr. Sehwag”.
Both undisputedly are the hardest hitting players of the ball the game has ever seen. Both players of powerhouse clan have played internationally for their countries as well as together in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Delhi Daredevils. David Warner is now the captain of the defending champions of IPL, Sunrisers Hyderabad.
He celebrated his birthday in style by scoring a knock of 134 for New South Wales in a Sheffield Shield match at the Gabba. The Southpaw batsmen scored his century from 124 balls and finished with a score of 134 from 160 balls.
Warner has been in great form lately and it has shown as his top two scores of the last three innings are both centuries – 117 and 173 against South Africa in the ODI series which concluded earlier this month.
