Adil Rashid is an English international cricketer, who plays for the national England team since 2009 as a leg spinner. He represents the Yorkshire squad in domestic cricket and played for Yorkshire U-17 as well as U-19 team in his teenage.
Pakistan-origin Adil Rashid started his cricket at an early age and came into the eyes of professional trainers at the age of 14. He had received specialized coaching from Terry Jenner, who inspired him to be a wrist-spinner at the beginning of his career. Later, Adil Rashid came under the coaching course of David Parson and gradually transformed into a skilled Leg-spinner.
At the beginning of domestic circuit, Adil Rashid used to play for Yorkshire’s Academy team. He played under-17 and under-19 championship tournaments for those squads as well. After playing a few wonderful innings in this field, he got a chance to play First-Class cricket in 2006.
After this, he successfully added himself in England Under-19 test squad and played the role of a skilled all-rounder smartly. Then, he was enlisted in England Lions team and gave another appreciating all-rounder performance against West Indies. At that time, Rashid has played for ICC World Twenty20 2009 team and progressively enter the national England team too in the same following year.
Unfortunately, this England bowler had some unsuccessfully years at the beginning of his international career from 2011 to 2014 and decided to continue with the domestic circuit only. However, his determination has helped him to redeem his loss and brought him back to the international field with the lost-glory in 2015 with an ODI series. Currently, he is playing in all three formats of the game and named in the England ICC World Cup 2019 squad successfully.
