Stallions continue to have nightmares as ATK wins 0-1

Bottom team Pune City FC go back winless from Kolkata as ATK registered their second win with 1-0 at home as they took on the visitors in the Yuba Bharati Krirangan on Saturday.

ATK was seen taking on chances since early into the game which finally got answered in the 80thminute when Gerson Vieira headed the ball which he received from substitute Jayesh Rane.

Pune was seen lacking with creating good chances throughout the match. Both the teams were seen losing on some great opportunities in the early half. ATK could have taken an early lead in the first two minutes as Pranay Halder took a shot from the outside of the box which fell into the gloves of Kamaljit Singh.

There were several chances for Manuel Lanzarote in the first half which he could turn into a goal if his freekicks curled a little lower. Balwant Singh and Everton Santos were deployed as the strikers by Steve Coppell but his decision to deploy Gerson Vieira as a defensive midfielder pays off well for him.

Steve Coppell was seen making an enforced change from the 2-1 loss at home aginst Bengaluru FC. Andre Bikey made his first start to the season with Balwant Singh playing at the top and Everton Santos operating from the left wing.

Pradhyum Reddy was seen making three alterations as they fell for a 4-2 loss from Chennaiyin at their own ground. Sahil Panwar came in for Chuanntea, Nikhil Poojary for Marcilinho and Alwyn George for Adil Khan. The visitors had only three foreigners on field as Marcilinho and Carlos are serving suspension from the last match.

The nightmare continues for the stallions as they remain at the bottom of the table whereas ATK secures the 6th position on the Indian Super League points table with ten points from seven matches.
