While Gareth Bale might not be trending at Real Madrid at the moment in the right light, there’s no doubt that the Welsh superman has carved out a wonderful career for himself, first at Southampton, then Spurs and finally now at Real Madrid.
Talks of a move back to the Premier League are on, with blemished Premier League giants Manchester United seemingly interested in his services. Starting out as a left-back for the erstwhile Southampton side, Bale is an out and out established winger today, one who has achieved his stardom by his own rights. 5. Inter Milan v Tottenham Hotspur, 2009-10 UEFA Champions League
Bale boasts of some wonderful nights in European football, including winners in two Champions League Finals over the years, but none more so than his heroics at San Siro on this historic night against Inter Milan when three left footed strikes saw him score a hat-trick and yet end up on the losing side 4-3.
The first one of those was a gem, with Bale rounding off a wonderful counter-attack with pure pace and precision, shooting into the bottom corner. The second one came minutes later and was almost an action replay.
4. Derby County v Southampton, 2006-07 Premier League
Gareth Bale was still playing left-back for the Saints in the Premier League when he scored his first senior league goal. He took on a free-kick well outside the box, used the wall and curled the ball inside out with the help of his magical left foot.
The goal wasn’t the most important one, but was surely a goal that made suitors sit up and take notice. It was nominated Southampton’s Goal of the Month as well.

On a gloomy day in North London, against a gritty London based West Ham team, Bale delivered the most astonishing of finishes with his left foot as he unleashed a power shot from 30 yards out.

The goal decided the match and was Bale’s revenge for being fouled badly only a couple of seconds earlier.
This one is one of his best in the La Liga and also was nominated for Real’s Goal of the Season as Gareth Bale took a shot from 40 yards out and found the net after a deflection off the top bar.
Real were leading 1-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu and needed an insurance goal for them to assert their dominance. And on a night when the visitors were holding onto a very thin scoreline, Bale scored a goal that stunned all.

Bale wrote his name into the hearts of Real fans the day he sped past Barca defender Marc Bartra and finished between Pinto’s legs in the 85th minute of an intense El Clasico in the Copa del Rey final of the season locked at 1-1. ‘
