Continuing on with her awesome record at the event further, Kavita Chahal wins Gold medal at the recently concluded All India Police Games 2017 held at Patna.
The ace Boxer, who hails from Bhiwani which has also given India, Vijender Singh, the Olympic medalist turned professional boxer, beat Amandeep Kaur of BSF 5-0 in a no-contest final of the event.
The Arjuna Awardee Boxer from Haryana, earlier, defeated maharashtra Police’s Sindhe in a Knock Out in quarter finals, while in the semifinals she beat Ibomcha Devi of SSB 5-0.
Kavita Chahal was representing Haryana Police at the event and is a former World number 2 in the 85 Kg category. Chahal is the first Arjuna Awardee from Haryana in Women Boxing and her other awards include Haryana’s Bhim Award.
This is the fifth gold for the Nimli born boxer, who has also won gold medal at the 2013 World Police Games held at Ireland.
