Perth: The Indian Junior team brought cheers to a proud nations as they made it two out of two at the Australian Hockey League beating South Australia 3-1 in their second game today.
India started the game on the offensive as they scored their first one in the 4th minute of the game via Gurjant Singh. This was followed by India doubling that lead up in the 14th minute when Ajit Pandey scored just before the first break to take the scorecard to 2-0 against South Australia.
South Australia tried hard but India didn’t concede them enough chances to score as the teams went into the half time with a 3-0 lead in favor of a touring Indian team. Parvinder Singh scored the third goal in 20th minute to take India to this lead of 3-0.
The teams came back from the break to see an offensive South Australian team, and India working on defending and playing out the time. South Australia, however, tried to threaten India but it was in the last minute of the match that they could get to their first inroad on the scorecard.
