Dhaka: Coming back strongly after yesterday’s defeat against hosts Bangladesh, India set their all guns blazing in their match against Oman at the under-18 Asia Cup being played here. This win will infuse confidence in the ranks of the Indian team as it is looking forward to have a great show in this tournament.
For India, it was the matter of time and goal difference with India getting well ahead in the 16th minute only; 3-0 by the 16th minute meant that India could have had laid back approach towards the match, which they didn’t show as they scored another 8 goals in remaining part of the match.
India which took field to shrug off their disappointing outing against Bangladesh where they lost with a 4-5 scorecard, India had three players scoring hat-trick viz Dilpreet Singh (34′, 53’ & 68’ ), Nilam Sanjeep Xess (8′, 15′ & 52′), and Ibungo Singh Konjengbam (30′, 40′ & 62′). Other scorers for India were Abhishek and Shivam Anand.
The result never looked in doubt, not even when India scored their first goal with Captain Nilam Sanjeep Xess in the 8th minute.
And eventually after the end of the match hours, scoreline read 11-0 in favor of India. Dilpreet Singh was named Man of the Match for his all-round efforts.
