The Racing Driver of Sahara Force India F1 Team, Nico Hulkenberg is set to leave his F1 team to join Renault at the end of the season. Nico will appear last for his team at the race scheduled at Abu Dhabi in November.
The German professional racing driver Nico Hulkenberg will race for Renault next season onward after ending his season and contract with Force 1 F1 team.
Hulkenberg, the 2015 Le Mans winner has been strongly linked to the French team (Renault); however neither Renault nor Nico confirmed about association with Renault.
Speaking about the news, Vijay Mallya, Team Principal and Managing Director of Sahara Force India F1 team, said, “Everybody at Sahara Force India wishes Nico well as he embarks upon a different path in Formula One. Having spent five years with us, Nico has become a great friend and contributed a huge amount to the team’s success. He’s an outstanding driver, who has scored more points for this team than anybody else. While it’s true we will miss Nico, we respect his decision to explore fresh opportunities and it would be wrong to stand in his way.”
