2. Medvedev Vs Djokovic Cincinnati Masters
This contest looked to be a solid build up even before it started. Novak Djokovic was coming off after a successful campaign at Wimbledon. Facing him was Daniil Medvedev who had already played 2 back to back finals in Washington and Canada and was looking in the form of his life.
Djokovic appeared to be on course for another title when he took the 1st set 6-3. The 2nd set also saw the Serb marching ahead after an early break of serve. However, Medvedev who was till then looking energy and shot deprived rallied back to take the next 2 sets breaking the Djokovic serve thrice.

The final of the 1st Masters 1000 of 2019 could arguably be called as the best 3 set match of the season. Dominic Thiem, the clay court powerhouse from Austria was in his 1st Hard Court Masters final. Opposite to him in the court was the 5 time Indian Wells Champion Roger Federer.
Federer won the 1st set 6-3 and was looking to dominate the Thiem backhand. As the Swiss appeared to be cruising, Thiem would raise his game to level back the match by winning the 2nd set. It would then boil to a 1 set shootout form the 2019 Indian Wells title.
Each player held his serve refusing the opponent an inch. Yet when the stage looked set for the tie breaker, Federer had some jittery moments and Thiem gave himself a few match points.
