Norway:
Norway is former 2011 FIFA World Cup Champion, apart from winning the Titles at the European, and Olympic champions and thus one of the most successful national teams. Coach Martin Sjögren adopts the 4-4-2 formation against the home team with right midfielder Karina Sævik instead of 26-year-old Lisa-Marie Utland.
France:
Hosts France have never won the World Cup and playing at home are riding a wave of good wins giving the Les Blues a reason to celebrate are on a winning spree with an impressive run of 14 wins in their last 15 matches and scoring 52-5 against their opponents. First Half of France vs Norway:
Norway takes the early advantage in the game as the hosts take time to settle. As early as the 9th minute, Isabell Herlovsen keeps the French defense on the back foot. Griedge Mbock Bathy and Wendie Renard were unable to clear the ball. Olympique Lyon and France striker Sarah Bouhaddi rushed out to narrow the gap. Herlovsen can’t finish the ball and fires wide due to the narrow-angle.
Norway’s central midfield is driven by the duo of Ingrid Engen and Vilde Boe Risa. A 14th-minute corner and Norway have a second chance as Engen’s brilliant flick in headed out and cleared.
