The Olympic Games were hosted at Amsterdam, Netherlands. The Indian Team was led by Jaipal Singh and AR Rosser was the Manager of this team. At the Olympisch Stadion, Amsterdam, the Indian Hockey Team debuted at the Olympics in 1928 and they started a juggernaut which ended at Melbourne 1956 Summer Games as India won 6 Olympic Gold medals, back to back, 3 in pre-independence era and 3 after independence.
