Dream11, today, became the IPL 2020 Title Sponsor as the Fantasy sports giant won an INR 222 Crore title sponsorship deal for the Indian Premier League upcoming edition. The popularity of Indian T20 Tournament helped the board get a sponsor in time for the league, within days of it confirming the Emirate Board of the tournament after getting a nod from the Government of India.
The league is postponed from its regular season time, April-June due to the global COVID-19 pandemic which has had impacted in sports events getting cancelled or postponed this year. The pandemic has already got the 2020 edition of the Men’s Cricket T20 World Cup cancelled.
