His scores included 2 fifties & a hundred; Gayle’s 111 not out against St Lucia Stars was his best score and the highest individual score of the tournament. With these runs, Chris Gayle entered into the top 5 list for the most runs in CPL 2014.
2. Shoaib Malik (Barbados Tridents)
The Sialkot, Pakistan born Right-handed batter, Shoaib Malik, was a member of the Barbados Tridents team at the Caribbean Premier League 2014. Malik, who would play for BBL, PSL & BPL as well, would go on to score 406 runs from 10 innings of the 10 matches he played in the Caribbean Premier League 2014 at an average of 50. His scores included 4 fifties and Malik’s 81 not out against Jamaica Tallawahs was his best from the tournament. With these runs, Shoaib Malik featured in the exclusive top 5 list for the most runs in CPL 2014.
1. Lendl Simmons (Guyana Amazon Warriors)
The right handed batter from Trinidad and Tobago, Lendl Mark Platter Simmons, was part of the Guyana Amazon Warriors team for the Caribbean Premier League 2014. Simmons, who would play for IPL, BBL & PSL as well, would go on to score 446 runs from 11 innings of the 11 matches he played in the Caribbean Premier League 2014 at an average of 50 almost. His score included 4 fifties; Simmons’ 97 against St Lucia Stars was his best score of the tournament. With these runs, Lendl Simmons featured into the top 5 list for the most runs in CPL 2014.
