Alex Tyson Carey is an Australian International Cricketer. He has been playing for the national Australian team since 2018 and currently elected the vice-captain of national team. Alex Carey used to keep wickets from his domestic days and currently considered left-handed wicket-keeper batsman of the team. He only plays in limited overs formats of the International stage and has not made his test debut so far. Alex has played for the Greater Western Sydney Giants football team and captained the team as well. He was born in Loxton city of South Australia and played for the domestic football team of Australia till 2012.

Since 2012, Carey has started his cricket career seriously and began sharpening skills of his batting gradually. During the session of 2015-2016 in grade cricket, Carey showed his best and got the attention of selector instantly. In this Sheffield Shield, Carey got a chance to appear in South Australia senior domestic team and has made his mark desirably.

Apart from his appreciable batting expertise, Carey has shown his skills in wicket-keeping as well. His clever tactics and cricketing acumen have not only help him find a place in the national Australian team but also got him the vice-captaincy. Alex Carey has been named in the Australian national team for the 2019 ICC World Cup with the promise he has shown.
