Profile | Dale Steyn is a South African International cricketer and a world-famous fast bowler. He plays for all formats of the game and appears in the national SA cricket team since 2004. He was born on 27th of June in1983 at Phalaborwa and started his cricket career at the age of only 11. He has made his first impression in first-class cricket when played for the Northern team at domestic level in 2003. Initially, Dale Steyn failed to make his mark in the international cricket field after his selection in the test format. However, he came back with a bang at the second chance and made his place in ODI as well as T20I matches as well. His unique style of bowling makes him a clear threat to top-order batsmen. Running in full-throttle with the ball and clocking 150+ speed are signature styles of this amazing right-arm fast bowler. His statement outswing bowling from a leg-stump line has given him a fearsome pacer. Not only in test cricket but in shorter formats also, Dale Steyn has shone, and so also with the IPL matches. He has led his team to the victory in many series with his untamable bowling. He was picked by the Royal Challengers Bangalore team in the IPL 2019 tournament but is currently ruled out of the tournament due to a shoulder injury.
