Profile | Fabian Allen is a Jamaican cricketer, who plays for the national cricket team of West Indies since 2018. Fabian plays only shorter formats of the game for limited over matches and represents Jamaica squad in first-class cricket. He is a slow left-arm orthodox blower, who occasionally bats in right-handed style as a lower-order batsman. In Caribbean Premier League, Fabian plays for the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots since 2017 till the present times. He hasn’t made his test debut yet and plays only ODI and T20I matches so far. He used to play for age-group teams in domestic level like Jamaican Under-19, West Indies Under-19, etc. He catches the eyes of selectors for the very first time for his performance in Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2014. After this, Fabian has played for Twenty20 franchise in 2018, before getting selected for the national team. His contribution in Under-19 Cricket World Cup and Global T20 league gave him the opportunity to enter the national squad of West Indies respectfully. Fabian Allen made his international debut through an ODI match in 2018 and T20I debut in the very next month both against India. Among the new-tries in West Indies, he made his place wonderfully and became a dependable part for limited over games. His slow orthodox style in right-to-left spin style soon made him a go-to blower of the squad for the tricky matches. Within a couple of matches, Fabian Allen became a permanent member of the national team for his dependable bowling skill.
