Profile | Imam-ul-Haq is a Pakistani cricketer, who plays for the national cricket team of Pakistan since 2017. He mostly plays in ODI & Test format and appears later in the T20I format in May 2019. Imam is a top-ordered left-handed batsman and represents the Lahore team in domestic cricket. He used to play for Under-19 Pakistani team and appeared in Under-19 ICC Cricket World Cup in 2012. He shone for the very first time in Under-19 Tri-Series in the same following year. Imam is the nephew of former Pakistani cricketer and captain Inzamam-ul-Haq. He played for Habib Bank Limited in first-class cricket before making his way in the national team. Imam got the chance to be enlisted in the national Pakistan team in 2017 through an ODI match against Sri Lanka. After this, he made his test debut in 2018 and T20I debut recently in 2019. He is hugely appreciated for his flamboyant stroke-play among the new-age cricketers. He is also an adept ring-fielder, apart from being a great batsman. Currently, he was named for the final Pakistan team for 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. |
