Ish Sodhi is an India-born New Zealand cricketer, who represents the national team of New Zealand since 2013. He plays for all formats of the game and corresponds to the Northern Districts squad at domestic level. He is a right-arm leg spinner, who occasionally bats right-handedly.
He made his debut in domestic cricket through the Plunkett Shield with Northern-Districts team in 2012. After leaving an impactful impression in that tournament, he got a chance to appear in the international field in 2013. Ish Sodhi made his international cricket debut through a test match against Bangladesh.
After this, he progressively made his debut in ODI and T20I formats as well consecutively in 201 and 2015. He has shown his adept in spin bowling splendidly despite being a non-Asian kiwi bowler and made his place permanent in the team. Currently, he was named for the New Zealand team for 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
