Profile | Lockie Ferguson is a New Zealand cricketer, who plays for the New Zealand national team in shorter formats of the game. He represents the Auckland squad in first-class cricket and appears in the national team since 2016 for the limited-over formats. He used to play for his native team Auckland in domestic cricket since 2013 and gave a few highlighted innings of his career. He came into the limelight because of his impactful performance in Plunkett Shield in domestic circuit. He is a right-arm fast bowler with a good bouncy style, which has made him praised in this tournament. The plus point of this tall New Zealand fast bowler is that he can hit the wicket with enormously high speed. His bowling speed and adept have made him an asset for the team, especially for the limited over games. From 2012 to 2015, Lockie Ferguson has played a few significant domestic matches of his career and got the chance in international field consecutively in 2016. He made his international debut through an ODI match against Australia and has been continued his journey in the shorter format of cricket successfully till 2019. Lockie Ferguson enlisted himself in the test squad as well in 2017 but unfortunately hadn’t made his debut in test format yet so far. He made his debut in the IPL franchise in the same following year with Pune Super Giants but later moved to Kolkata Knight Riders team. He was bought by Kolkata squad in 2018 and continues his IPL journey with the same team in the running year. He is added in the New Zealand team for 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
