Mitchell Santner is a New Zealand International cricketer, who plays for the national side since 2015. He appears in all formats of the game and represents the Northern Districts squad in domestic circuit. Santner is a bowling all-rounder, who bowls in left-arm orthodox pattern and occasionally plays as a left-handed batsman.

His promising contribution in domestic cricket brought him the chance of appearing in the national team of New Zealand in 2015. He made his debut in all formats of the game in the same following year and became a permanent member of the team gradually.

He is regarded for his decent spin spinner in orthodox style. His bowling skill is far sharper than his batting adept, that’s why; he gained more success in shorter formats of cricket. However, the batting ability of Santner keeps him ahead in the rank of other spinners of the team progressively.

He has been associated for the Chennai Super Kings for IPL franchise since 2018 and gave some match-winning performances. Currently, he is named in the New Zealand Squad for 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup as an all-rounder.
