Profile | Mohammad Mithun is a professional Bangladeshi cricketer, who plays for all formats of the game as a wicketkeeper-batsman. He used to play for the shorter format of the game in limited-over cricket since 2014 and later started his test career successfully in 2018. He represents Dhaka Division in domestic cricket, Sylhet Division in first-class cricket, and Rangpur Riders for the BPL franchise. Mohammad Mithun is an opening batsman, who also keeps the wicket on a regular basis for all formats of the game. He is a skilled batsman with a hard-hitting approach that gave him popularity and success in domestic circuit. He was an important part of Under-19 Bangladesh squad in his domestic days, before starting his international career. In T20 World Cup 2014, he got selected for the team as a replacement of Mushfiqur Rahim and later enters the national team of Bangladesh in the same following year. Mohammad Mithun is a prolific wicket-keeper batsman, which gave him a permanent place in the national team of Bangladesh. After making his impact on limited over games, he started his test career against Zimbabwe in 2018 and considered the most-experienced first-class cricketer of Bangladesh in the test squad.
