Profile | N Sikki Reddy is an Indian International badminton player, who represents India internationally since 2008. She plays for both Women’s doubles and mixed doubles events from the very beginning of her international career. Pairing with Pranaav Jerry Chopra, Reddy won the gold in South Asian Games along with Brazil and Russia Open Grand Prix titles. She appeared in the 2018 Commonwealth Games, where she won a gold medal in the mixed team and a bronze in women’s doubles event. She made her international debut through the Indian Grand Prix Gold competition in 2008 in the singles event. After her first match, she got with some major injuries and took a break of almost 3 years. In 2011 she made her comeback through the Bahrain International Challenge tournament and plays as a dependable international player of this country since then. At presents, she plays for the Ahmadabad Smash Masters in PBL. In 2014, Reddy made her mark by achieving bronze medals in the Asian Games and Uber Cup both in women’s team event. After this, in 2016, she appeared in some significant international tournaments like the Scottish Open, Russian Open, Brazil Open, etc. for BWF Grand Prix tournaments. She clinched 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal in these tournaments in the mixed doubles category. She has become a household name now and one of the most successful badminton players from our country. Reddy has gone through under several serious injuries including knee surgery, but her determination couldn’t pull her back for long and she always makes a perfect return to this field after every break.
