Rahmat Shah is an Afghan cricketer, who represents the national cricket team of Afghanistan since 2013. He plays as an all-rounder, who bats right-handedly and bowls in right-arm leg-break style. Apart from international tournaments, he plays for Afghan Cheetah in Twenty20 franchise and represents Mis Ainak Regions in first-class cricket. He was born in Zurmat region of Afghanistan but lived in Pakistan Dina city for a few years at an early age, before starting his afghan cricket career professionally.
Technically adept Rahmat Shah is a middle-order batsman and an expert spinner, who can show his charisma with both bat and ball equally. After playing a few successful domestic matches, he got selected for the national team and made his international debut through an ODI match in March 2013.
Depending on his batting expertise, experts think that he is capable of play in all formats of cricket perfectly. However, Rahmat Shah plays for test and ODI formats of the game only and has not made his T20I debut so far. He is currently enlisted as a regular player in the ODI team of Afghanistan for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
