Saina Nehwal is an Indian professional badminton player, who represents Indian in several international platforms since 2006. She has appeared in all type of noted tournaments that happened nationally or internationally around the world. Such as the Olympic Games, World Championship, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, Asian Championships, etc. including youth-level tournaments of these championships.
Saina came from an Indian middle-class family and worked really hard to become a professional badminton player from her background. She got full support from her parents and admitted that it was her mother’s dream to make her national-level badminton player from the beginning.
She took professional training of badminton from the age of eight and took the proper lessons of his game from the badminton academy of Hyderabad. In 2006, she took participate in the Under-19 national championship and won the badminton tournament in that competition.
At the age of 16, she became the youngest player from Asia to win a 4-star tournament and the runner up at the BWF World Junior Championships. It was just the beginning of this Indian winning express and then, she won numbers of international tournaments as well as the world championship in her glorious career graph.
Currently, she is considered one of the world’s best sportspersons for her contribution to badminton. In 2015, she rose at the highest ranking of her career and became No. 1 player in Women singles. Saina has represented Indian three times in Olympic and won a Bronze medal as well in her second appearance.
