Profile | Sanjeev Rajput is an Indian shooter, who represents India internationally since 2004. He is a gold medalist, who won gold in both Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Championship. He is also an Asian Games silver medalist and serves the Indian navy in the sports category since the age of 18. He started his career as a shooter at a very early age and began his career with the SAF Games in 2004. At that championship, he bagged 3 gold medals and a silver medal, which were enough to grab the attention of the world instantly. In 2005, Sanjeev participated in Commonwealth Shooting Championship and won team gold in men’s 50m Air rifle 3-position event. After this, Sanjeev participated in a number of world championships and won numerous medals, which made him one of the most successful Indian shooters of all-time. In 2014, he won a silver medal in Commonwealth Games . In 2018 Commonwealth Games, he surpassed his own record and clinched a gold medal for his country in the men’s 50m rifle category.
