Profile | Shakib Al Hasan is a Bangladeshi International Cricketer, who plays for the national cricket team of Bangladesh since 2006. He appears in all formats of the game and captains the team in test & T20I formats. Shakib is an all-rounder of the team, who plays as a middle-order left-handed batsman and a slow-left-armed orthodox bowler. Apart from being an aggressive batsman and a skilled spinner, Shakib Al Hasan is also an athletic fielder. He used to represent the Khulna Division team in first-class cricket and played in National Domestic League for this team. At the beginning of his cricket career, Shakib spent a few month training-sessions at Bangladesh Krira Shiksha Prathistan for his professional cricket training. In domestic circuit, he used to play for Worcestershire in England and became the first ever Bangladeshi cricketer to represent an English country cricket team domestically. Shakib got a chance to affiliate with the national team of Bangladesh in 2006 and made his international debut through an ODI match. Apart from the test, ODI, and T20is, Shakib also appears in super leagues matches like BPL, PSL, IPL, etc. His immensely tricky orthodox blowing style and aggressive batting expertise made him an asset for the modern Bangladeshi squad. In his 13-year of international career, Shakib has gained massive success as well as honor in each format of cricket and considered number-1 all-rounder of all time. Unfortunately, this endowed Bangladeshi player got involved with a controversy of the disciplinary issue in 2014 during the Sri Lanka tournament. Then he got a three-ODI ban as the punishment from BCB. He also got a few more penalties from ICC for his unruly behavior during matches. However, the talent of this adept all-rounder couldn’t hold him back for long and rewards him with the selection in the squad of Bangladesh for 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
