Shaun Edward Marsh is an Australian cricketer and plays, currently, in Test & ODI formats of the game. Shaun Marsh represents the Western Warriors at domestic level and acts as an opening batsman in all patterns of the game.
Marsh was born in Narrogin region of Western Australia in 1983 and started his cricket career at a very young age for having a cricket background. His father and elder brother both played for the Australian national side.
Marsh is a left-handed batsman and considered a cricketer with incredible skills combined with astonishing consistency. At the domestic level, Shaun Marsh used to play for Western Australia in both Under-17 and Under-19 squads.
He came into the limelight after scoring the most runs in ICC Under-19 World Cup tournament in 2000. After this, he has made his first-class debut against South Australia in 2001 and represented ACA till 2002 World Cup.
He has got his first international chance in 2008 from Cricket Australian Contract for short format matches and then started his professional career on a regular basis. He is a free-flowing stroke maker, but unfortunately, often injuries couldn’t allow him to be a regular part of the national team in the last few years.
He started his IPL career since 2008 and continued it till 2017 with one single squad Kings XI Punjab. Currently, Shaun Marsh is out of the race of running IPL tournament and probably sharpening his skills for the Cricket World Cup 2019.
