Shikhar Dhawan is an Indian International cricketer, who plays for Indian national cricket team as an opening batsman. He is a left-handed batsman.
Dhawan had started his cricket career at the age of 12 and then moved to the higher-aged national teams gradually. Before getting selected for the Indian cricket team, he had played for Indian under-17 and under-19 teams too. He plays for the Delhi Capitals team in the IPL 2019 tournament.
This Delhi-based batsman came into limelight after scoring 505 runs at the under-19 world cup in the year 2004. Though Dhawan got the chance in test matches lately, he shone at the level beast with all his effort. In his first test series in the year 2013, he scored 187 runs out of 174 balls against Australia.
Dhawan is quite skilled in playing against the pace and bounce of rough pitches like Australia. This quality makes him set the perfect platform to bats in rough condition, while a few batsmen face difficulties. However, he has a bad habit of parallax error, yet the reliable batting style of Dhawan makes him Indian’s go-to man when it comes to the matter of ODI.
