10. Lazio 0 – 2 AS Roma, 2005-06 Serie A
The Derby della Capital is always a critical day in the calender’s of Roma and Lazio, fierce rivals hailing from the capital city of Rome.
One of the best fixtures in this contest was the 2005-06 face-off where, despite Roma missing Francesco Totti, went on to register a 0-2 victory on the night.
9. AS Roma 1 – 1 (4 -2 ) Torino, 1981 Coppa Italia Final
A tightly contested fixture across two legs ended with Roma and Torino, finalists of the Coppa Italia tied 2-2.
Goals from Ancelloti and Santarini in the second leg further complicated things as the match went to extra time and penalties in which Roma prevailed 4-2.
8. AS Roma 3 – 1 Sampdoria, 1991 Coppa Italia Final
The 1990-91 edition of the Coppa Italia culminated with Roma and Sampdoria squaring off in the final of the competition.
Roma posted a thumping victory in the first leg of the tie, which meant even a 1-1 draw in the second leg couldn’t stop Sampdoria from ending up as runners up.
7. Lazio 1 – 2 AS Roma, 2014-15 Serie A
Everything depended on this penultimate game of the season, as Roma faced off with Rome rivals Lazio for a place in the top four and ultimately qualification for the Champions League.
Roma raced to victory in the final minutes with a stunner as celebrations carried on long after the game.
6. AS Roma 6 – 2 Inter Milan, 2006-07 Coppa Italia Final 1st Leg
The first leg of the Coppa Italia final in 2007 was a treat for fans as Roma got off to a flier with Totti’s goal in the 1st minute.
De Rossi, Perrotta, Mancini and Panucci all got on the scoreboard as Roma put 6 past Inter in the first leg to win 6-2.

5. AS Roma 2 – 0 Lazio, 2010-11 Serie A
Another classic Rome derby as Francesco Totti starred for Roma to score twice, once off a penalty and then off a wonderful freekick to register a wonderful night at Stadio Olimpico.
Totti displayed a T Shirt saying “The King of Rome is not Dead!” after the victory.
4. AS Roma 2 – 1 Inter Milan, 2007-08 Coppa Italia Final
The latest Copa Italia in Roma history came in 2008 when they defeated Inter to lift the Italian Cup in the final at Stadio Olimpico.
Goals from Philip Mexes and Simeone Perrotta meant Roma prevailed despite Inter scoring a goal in the 60th minute.
3. AS Roma 3 – 1 Lazio, 1998-99 Serie A
Roma and Lazio locked horns for the second time in the season with Lazio leading the league table 7 points clear.
Roma scored two very early and Totti added one in the dying minutes to beat Lazio 3-1, a defeat that would ultimately condemn Lazio to lose out on the title.
2. AS Roma 3 – 0 FC Barcelona, 2017-18 UEFA Champions League
AS Roma caused one of the biggest upsets in recent Champions League memory as they overcame Lionel Messi’s Barcelona at a loud and ecstatic Stadio Olimpico after falling 4-1 in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals. They eventually went through on away goals.

1. AS Roma 5 – 1 Lazio, 2001-02 Serie A
The greatest derby according to Roma fans, this one was a thrashing Roma served out to arch-rivals and city opponents Lazio, as Vincenzo Montella scored four on the night and Totti got one to play like true champions of Italy, which they were eventually crowned at the end of the season.
