Bastian Schweinsteiger has been there, done that. He’s one of the most decorated players on the planet with everything to his name. From the FIFA World Cup in 2014 to a Champions League medal in 2012 to numerous Bundesliga titles along the years, he’s probably the best midfielder that ever played at the Allianz Arena. He had an unsuccessful stint with Manchester United in England but has rediscovered his prowess in America with MLS side Chicago Fire. He’s scored some wonderful goals for club and country, and we take a look at 5 of those right here.
5. Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich, 2011-12 Bundesliga
Scoring against arch-rivals Dortmund in a Bayern shirt is always special and that too to take the lead at a critical juncture with a brilliant shot is quite another thing. This one came from a Ribery lay off just outside the box as Bastian Schweinsteiger found himself in some space and hit a tasty shot right into the top corner.
4. Bayern Munich v VFL Wolfsberg, 2014-15 Bundesliga
Bastian Schweinsteiger epitomizes the Bayern theory of winning with pride. He thrives in the ethos of no nonsense football and victory at any cost. His winning goal against Wolfs berg in the 2014-15 season as a returning World Cup hero is just that as he sneaks into the far post in the dying moments of the game and times his touch brilliantly to score and take all 3 points for his team.
3. Bayern Munich v FC Koln, 2013-14 Bundesliga
Cheeky to say the least. While you might have seen magnificent strikes from distance from this man Bastian Schweinsteiger, this one is beautifully executed and a piece of art. From a teasing cross from the right, Bastian Schweinsteiger, who’d made the run up field, finished with a back foot flick, the kind you see top notch strikers do with ease.

The goal was the first one in a 3-1 victory for Germany on the night, one that went a long way in ensuring the superiority of the hosts in the 2008 Euros.
