Today we talk about commentators in IPL 2021. The 14th edition of Indian Premier League is already underway and is expected to be the showcase of talents like ever. Owing to the Corona pandemic, a few things that changed this season includes getting rid of Home & Away format of matches. IPL 2021 has all matches hosted at neutral venues and most of the organization part will be under the local federations.
Like previously, there are different sets of commentators covering the tournament in English, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi & Malayalam. While the English will be under the world feed, Hindi & regional languages will cater to needs of fans under different locations in India. While the show will be having Jatin Sapru, Sanjana Ganesan, Anant Tyagi, Neroli Meadows, Tanya Purohit, Suren Sundaram, Dheeraj Juneja, Bhavna Balakrishnan, Nashpreet Kaur, Anubhav Jain, Radhakrishnan Sreenivasan, Muthuraman R, M Anand Srikrishna, Vindhya Medapatti, Neha Chowdry, Reena Dsouza, Kiran Srinivasa and Madhu Mailankody as presenters, below are the commentators in IPL 2021 with languages they’d speak in:
English Commentators in IPL 2021
The English Commentary panel would have Matthew Hayden, Kevin Pietersen, Michael Slater, Danny Morrison, Ian Bishop, Harsha Bhogle, Simon Doull, Mpumelelo Mbangwa, Daren Ganga, Sunil Gavaskar, Mark Nicholas, Ajit Agarkar, Nick Knight, Deep Dasgupta, Rohan Gavaskar, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan, Murali Kartik, Anjum Chopra, Lisa Sthalekar, Mel Jones and Alan Wilkins sharing their expertise on TV screen in the World Feed.

In addition, there would be Scott Styris, Brett Lee, Dominic Cork, Brian Lara, Graeme Swann in the Dugout with Kevin Pietersen, Shane Watson, Ross Taylor, Dale Steyn, Nasser Hussain joining in as experts remotely. All these commentators in the international or English panel have represented their national teams for a considerable period.
Hindi Commentators in IPL 2021
The Hindi Commentary Panel would include Little Master Sunil Gavaskar, Aakash Chopra, Ajit Agarkar, Nikhil Chopra, Gautam Gambhir, Irfan Pathan, Parthiv Patel, RP Singh & Deep Dasgupta, all of whom are known names in the Indian Cricket. In addition, Jatin Sapru would be part of this group.
Regional Commentators in IPL 2021
Subramaniam Badrinath, Russel Arnold, Yo Mahesh, Sadagopan Ramesh, Abhinav Mukund, Radhakrishnan Sreenivasan, Muthuraman R, K V Sathyanarayanan, RJ Balaji, Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan and Hemang Badani would be the Tamil Commentators in IPL 2021.
GK Anil Kumar, Vijay Bharadwaj, Venkatesh Prasad, Akhil Balachandra, Srinivasa Murthy, Bharat Chipli, Vinay Kumar would make the Kannada while Venugopal Rao, Ashish Reddy, MSK Prasad, Kaushik NC, Kalyan Krishna and Sashikant Avulapalli would make the Telugu Commentators in IPL 2021.
The Bengali commentary would include Boria Majumdar, Laxmi Ratan Shukla, Ranadeb Bose, Joydeep Mukherjee, Sanjeeb Mukherjea, Saradindu Mukherjee, Gautam Bhattacharya and Debashish Datta and Marathi language audience would listen to Sandeep Patil, Amol Muzumdar, Vinod Kambli, Snehal Pradhan, Kunal Date, Prasanna Sant and Chaitanya Sant. The Malayalam Commentary panel comprise Tinu Yohannan, Shiyas Mohammed, Vishnu Hariharan, CM Deepak, Sony Cheruvathur and Reiphi Gomez
Akash Chopra whose stint with the Indian team could not be as illustrious as some of his Delhi contemporaries has carved out a definite niche for himself in the commentary box. His Hindi commentary would add more mileage to the coverage as along with his insightful comments on the events taking place on the cricket field. Thus although the crowds are unable to attend the matches live in the stadium, they can take the opportunity of enjoying the stadium-like atmosphere right from their home as well.
