Arjen Robben doesn’t usually miss penalties, but when he did for the first time in a Bundesliga game, it was in a title decider against Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park.
As a result, Jurgen Klopp’s Dortmund went 7 points clear at the top of the table to eventually end up as Bundesliga champions.

Dortmund got their hands on the German Cup under Thomas Tuchel as a team sprinkled with youngsters including Christian Pulisic and Ousmane Dembele dominated the final from first minute to last.
Tuchel later described that this was his most tense match as Aubamayang’s spot-kick settled the tie.

Thomas Delaney and Jaden Sancho scored for the Yellow and Blacks as Dortmund bossed the Riviera Derby to win 2-1 on the night and get a +1 over their bitter rivals.
Caliguiri scored for Shalke before Sancho won it for Dortmund.
6. Borussia Dortmund 2 – 1 Liverpool, 1966 Cup Winners’ Cup Final
The Cup Winners’ Cup Final in 1966 was held in Glasgow and featured German side Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool from England.
The game went on to extra time after Hunt equalized Held’s 61st minute goal. In extra time, Dortmund found extra vigor to score through winger Libuda to wrap up the credentials in their name.

5. Borussia Dortmund 2 – 0 FC Bayern Munich, 2014 German Super Cup
Dortmund lost Robert Lewandowski on a free transfer to arch rivals Bayern but replaced him with the likes of Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhtariyan up front.
Pep Guardiola’s Bayern were given a taste of their own medicine as Dortmund triumphed 2-0 on the night.

Having completed a dramatic comeback against Malaga in the quarterfinals, Borussia Dortmund came up against another Spanish opposition, a far bigger and successful club in Real Madrid.
Jose Mourinho’s Real were the favorites leading into the tie, but brilliance from Dortmund’s Polish striker Robert Lewandowski meant Dortmund proved that wrong with a 4-1 victory.

Bayern had already lost out on the League title to Dortmund and the Yellows were looking to inflict further misery on the Bavarians by claiming the double under Jurgen Klopp for the second time.
It went to plan as BVB won 5-2 on the night to complete the season with a double.

Borussia Dortmund were in a mess in the league when they squared up against Spanish opposition Malaga in the Quarterfinals.
