The Indian Badminton sensation is one of the most celebrated Indian sportspersons from non-cricket sports. PV Sindhu, in the Rio 2016 Summer Games, became the highest decorated Indian Female with a silver medal finish in Women’s Singles after a loss to eventual Gold medalist Carolina Marin in the tournament final. With her Silver medal finish, she would also become the highest decorated Indian Badminton player.
Prior to her feat, Saina Nehwal had won Bronze medal in Women’s Singles competition of London 2012 Summer games. She’d almost repeat her Olympic performance five years later to win an Olympic Bronze medal at the Tokyo 2021 Summer Games. Feats and records are many, and these list PV Sindhu among the all-time legendary figures in Indian Sports.
