Today we discuss the companies associated with RR under different roles and supporting the team in IPL 2020. Rajasthan Royals (RR), the inaugural champions of the Indian Premier League have not been able to meet the expectations of their fans since their victorious campaign in the first edition. The unheralded team headed by the legendary Australian leg spinner Shane Warne shocked one and all when they defeated the big guns of the tournament and claimed glory by becoming the first team to lift the Indian Premier League.
The 2008 edition of the IPL was instrumental for RR as they not only discovered future Indian talents like Ravindra Jadeja and Ajinkya Rahane but also set the platform for unheralded bowlers from Pakistan like Sohail Tanvir who secured national team selection based on his performance in the inaugural edition of the tournament. Since then, however, the RR has always been considered minnows spending a fortune of investments on Indian players and buying low-key overseas players.
Although they have invested a huge amount of money on the Indian contingent of players they have not been able to reap many dividends with players like Ankit Rajpoot, Sanju Samson, and Shreyas Gopal not realizing their full potential. Till recently RR invested a huge amount of money in acquiring the services of the English All-rounder Benjamin Stokes to spark a reversal of fortunes. Although Stokes has been able to turn the tide somewhat in favor of RR, a collective performance is still lacking.
Moreover, this IPL has not been kind to the Rajasthan outfit with the team languishing at the bottom half of the points table despite having International cricket superstars like Jos Buttler, Steve Smith, and Jofra Archer in their ranks. Following is the detailed information about the franchise, and the companies associated with RR-

Owners- The team was previously owned by Raj Kundra, the industrialist husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. But after the spot-fixing scandal which rocked the foundations of the IPL to its core and destroyed its reputation completely, the ownership of one of the accused teams Rajasthan Royals changed hands.
