Lower orders of International teams have given some memorable moments in ODI and other formats. While at many occasions these bowler who batted a bit gave bowlers extra runs to defend, at some other occasions these gave the finishing act to a chase. 10. 66 (Jimmy Kamande, Peter Ongondo)
On August 18, 2001, Kenyan pair of Jimmy Kamande & Peter Ongondo were together at the fall of Collins Obuya against West Indies. The two went on to score 66 partnership runs at the Gymkhana Club Ground, Nairobi. Kenya finished at 192.
While Kamande scored a 54 ball 32 with 3 fours, Ongondo scored a 42-ball 36 with 2 fours & a six. The partnership is 10th on top 10 of the highest ODI partnership for tenth wicket. The partnership also happen to be the third highest partnership for tenth ODI wicket by any Kenyan Pair. West Indies chased down the target with 4.1 overs to spare.
9. 67* (Albie Morkel, Makhaya Ntini)
On March 2, 2004, South African pair of Albie Morkel & Makhaya Ntini were together at the fall of Robin Peterson against New Zealand. The two went on to score unbroken 67 partnership runs at the McLean Park, Napier. South Africa finished at 186/9.
While Morkel scored a 33 ball 23 with 2 fours, Ntini scored a 35-ball 42 with 3 fours & 2 sixes. The partnership is 9th highest ODI partnership for tenth wicket. The partnership also happen to be the highest partnership for tenth ODI wicket by any South African Pair. New Zealand chased down the target with 4 overs to spare.
8. 71 (Andy Roberts, Joel Garner)
On June 9-10, 1983, West Indies pair of Andy Roberts & Joel Garner came together after fall of Michael Holding against India. The two went on to add 71 partnership runs while on chase to India’s 262 at Prudential World Cup. West Indies couldn’t reach the target and were bowled out for 228.

While Roberts scored a 58 ball 37, Garner scored a 29-ball 123 with a six. The partnership is 8th on top 10 of the highest ODI partnership for tenth wicket.
7. 72 (Abdul Razzaq, Waqar Younis)
On April 3, 1998, Pakistani pair of Abdul Razzaq & Waqar Younis came together after fall of Moin Khan against South Africa. These two went on to score 72 partnership runs at Kingsmead, Durban while on chase to South Africa’s 280 with Pakistan finishing at 228.

While Razzaq scored an unbeaten 129 ball 104 with 5 fours, Younis scored a 125 ball unbeaten 142 with 10 fours & 6 sixes. The partnership is 7th on top 10 of the highest ODI partnership for tenth wicket.
6. 74 (Luke Ronchi, Trent Boult)
On October 21, 2014, New Zealand Pair of Luke Ronchi & Trent Boult came together after fall of Kyle Mills against South Africa. These two went on to score 74 partnership runs at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui with New Zealand finishing at 230.

While Ronchi scored a 83 ball 99 with 11 fours & 3 sixes, Boult scored a 33 ball unbeaten 21 with 2 fours & a six. The partnership is 6th on top 10 of the highest ODI partnership for tenth wicket. South Africa chased down the target with 1.5 overs to spare.
5. 76 (Yasir Shah, Mohammad Amir)
On August 30, 2016, Pakistan Batsmen Yasir Shah & Mohammad Amir came together at the fall of Wahab Riaz against England. The two batsmen went on to score 76 partnership runs while on chase to England’s 444 at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. Pakistan however couldn’t reach anywhere close and were bowled out for 275.
While Shah scored an unbeaten 32 ball 26 with 3 fours, Amir scored a 28-ball 58 with 5 fours & 4 sixes. The partnership is 5th on top 10 of the highest ODI partnership for tenth wicket.
4. 76 (Luke Ronchi, Mitchell McClenaghan)
On October 24, 2014, Kiwi pair of Luke Ronchi & Mitchell McClenaghan came together against South Africa while on chase of 383 and added 76 partnership runs at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui. New Zealand, however, couldn’t reach the target and were bowled out for 210.

While Ronchi scored a 83 ball 79 with 7 fours & a six, McClenaghan scored a 43-ball 34 with 4 fours. The partnership is 4th on top 10 of the highest ODI partnership for tenth wicket. The partnership also happen to be the highest partnership for tenth ODI wicket by any Kiwi Pair.
3. 99* (Ravi Rampaul, Kemar Roach)
On December 2, 2011, West Indies pair of Ravi Rampaul & Kemar Roach came together against India and added unbroken 99 partnership runs. They were together after fall of Lendl Simmons at Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam. West Indies finished with 269/9.
While Rampaul scored a 66 ball 86 with 6 fours & 6 sixes, Roach scored a 36-ball 24 with 3 fours. The partnership is 3rd on top 10 of the highest ODI partnership for tenth wicket. India chased down the target with 1.5 overs to spare.
2. 103 (Mohammad Amir, Saeed Ajmal)
On November 9, 2009, Pakistani pair of Mohammad Amir & Saeed Ajmal came together after fall of Umar Gul. The two went on to add 103 partnership runs against New Zealand but missed the final punch as Pakistan fell short by 8 runs on what could be a win.

1. 106* (Viv Richards, Michael Holding)
On May 31, 1984, West Indies pair of Viv Richards & Michael Holding came together to script what would be the highest ODI partnership for tenth wicket. West Indies were playing against England at Old Trafford, Manchester. The two had come together post the fall of Joel Garner and held on to forge an unbroken partnership of 106 runs. The Caribbean Team finished at 272/9.

While Richards scored a 170 ball 189 with 21 fours & 5 sixes, Holding scored a 27-ball 12 with 2 fours. England, on their chase, were bowled out for 168.
